Beloved husband of Dorothy M Gilsinger (nee Dunkman); Loving father of Robert (Jane) Gilsinger Jr., Barbara (Jim) Aubuchon, Joe Gilsinger, and the late Maureen (survived by Mike) Schwering; dearest grandfather of Zac Schwering, Luke Gilsinger and Kurt Gilsinger; dear brother-in-law of Connie Lacker; dear son of the late Antony and Gertrude Gilsinger; brother of the late Gertrude and Marguerite Gilsinger; our dear uncle, cousin and friend to many.

Robert was a cement mason local 527. He also served in WWII with the United States Marines, Company I, 3rd Battalion, 9th Marines. Robert was also inducted with the inaugural class into the All-Marine Boxing Hall of Fame. Robert also had a love for his Catholic faith and said a nighttime prayer every evening.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 20, 10:00 AM until time of Mass 11:00 AM at St. Ann Church, 7530 Natural Bridge Rd (Normandy). Interment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
