Roland Bader
May 11, 1940 - October 01, 2023

Beloved husband of 57 years to Catherine Bader.  Loving father of Noel and Julie Bader, and Ann and Joshua Bean.  Loving grandfather of Jamie and Gus Pey, Alison Bader, Casey Bader, Joshua Bean, Jake Bean, and Melvin Pey (great grandfather).  Loving brother to Joan Morgan and Robert Bader.

Roland (Ron) was born in St. Louis, attended SEMO, and served in the Army Reserve as a medic.  Roland worked for 24 years in the meatcutters Local 88, and finished his career as a bus driver for the Special School District, where he was proud to help children with disabilities.  Roland was an avid runner, and could be seen running daily on the streets of St. Ann and Overland well into his eighties, inspiring many people.  He completed many races and marathons, including the Boston Marathon.

Visitation on Wednesday, October 04, from 4 - 8 at Colliers Funeral Home, 3400 North Lindbergh Blvd.  Prayer service and burial will take place Saturday, October 7, 10:30 AM at St. Mary's Cemetery (Hazelwood)
