Rosemary (Visintine) Harty-- Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church Tuesday, April 8, 2025. Most-Beloved wife of the late John J. Harty; dear daughter of the late Anthony and Anna Visintine; cherished mother of Mary Elizabeth (Jeff) Saunchegraw and Jean Marie (Keith) Wallace; dearest Nana of Nicholas, Caroline, Benjamin, Joshua and Teddy; dear sister of the late Elizabeth (James) Boesl, Sam (Kathy) Visintine and Joe (Denise) Visintine; dear aunt, great-aunt, cousin, and friend to a great many.
Rosemary was a 1955 graduate of St Theresa's Academy in East St. Louis, Illinois. She worked as a bookkeeper for the St. Louis National Stockyards in East St Louis. Rosemary married her forever love, John, in September of 1958. They built the home they cherished together in 1964 in Bridgeton, Missouri. Rosemary worked as a bookkeeper for Sears and Roebuck at Northwest Plaza until 1967. After welcoming her daughters, Rosemary focused on homemaking, volunteering at St Mary's Parish, school, and Women's Council, bowling and volleyball leagues, being a Girl Scout Leader, and tour-guiding at the historic Payne-Gentry House in Bridgeton. Rosemary returned to part-time work at two local moving companies before fully retiring in 1997. Once retired, Rosemary found enjoyment and friendship volunteering for the Bridgeton Senior Services Office, Meals on Wheels, various Bridgeton commissions, and was awarded the Bridgeton Volunteer of The Year in 2006. Rosemary was especially proud of her 5 grandchildren and spending time with them was her greatest joy in life.
Visitation Saturday, April 12, 2025, 10:00 AM until time of Mass 11:00 AM at Holy Spirit Church, 3130 Parkwood Ln. (Maryland Heights). Private interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Rosemary's remembrance to the Bridgeton Senior Services Office in care of Ms. Denise Niederschulte.
