Sandra K.
Chilton
Feb 14, 1951 — Aug 7, 2024
Sandra "Sandy" Kaye Chilton (nee Shoemake) passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2024.
Beloved wife of Lindell Chilton; loving mother of Amy (Jason) Van Beers and Nicki (Ryan) DeVouton; dearest MaMa of Bailey Van Beers (Aidan Meyer), Blake Van Beers, and Jake DeVouton; our dear aunt, cousin, and friend to many.
Sandy, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 7th, 2024, at the age of 73. She was the devoted wife of Lindell for 52 cherished years, during which they created a life rich with love and joy.
Sandy was a proud MaMa to three grandchildren, whom she adored and supported with unwavering enthusiasm. She never missed a moment of their lives, attending all of her granddaughters' dance competitions and grandsons baseball games while celebrating their achievements with immense pride.
Her love for family extended to her role as a thoughtful gift giver, always finding the perfect presents that reflected her deep care and consideration. She had a special fondness for the holidays and celebrations, relishing the opportunity to bring people together and make each occasion memorable.
Known for her love of shopping, polka dots, and her exceptional chocolate chip cookies, Sandy brought warmth and joy to those around her. She was an avid fan of the music group Alabama and enjoyed every note of their melodies. Her enthusiasm for traveling to Branson and spending quality time with her siblings was a testament to her zest for life.
A devoted aunt and a friend to many, Sandy was also deeply attached to her dogs, who were a beloved part of her life for many years. Many referred to her as Miss Sandy as she was a preschool teacher for many years. Her wonderful smile, kindness, joyful spirit, and the love she had for her family and friends will be fondly remembered and deeply missed.
In honor of her love for polka dots, the family invites those attending the memorial service to wear polka dots as a tribute to her unique and cheerful spirit.
