Sarah J. Beckmann

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Sarah Jacqueline Odem Beckmann, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister and friend. Sarah suffered a stroke and passed away in hospice care on July 13, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 20, 1934, in San Antonio, Texas to William and Agnes (Becker)Odem.

Sarah will be remembered for her beautiful smile, warmth, quiet strength, and devotion to her faith and her family. She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Bert, children Rich (Kathy), Joe (Leissa), Pat (Carla), Annette, Lisa (Stu), her beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and many friends.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 30th, 5 p.m.- 8 p.m. at Collier’s Funeral Home, 3400 N. Lindbergh Blvd in Bridgeton. A memorial mass will be celebrated on Friday, July 31, 1:00 p.m. at the Marian Chapel, located in the Naomi House of the Sarah Community, 3393 McKelvey Road in Bridgeton, where Sarah resided with Bert.
