Beloved wife of Leland R. Watts, loving mother of Debbie (Tony) Yates, Steven (Linda) Watts, grandmother to Matt (Charissa Martin) Yates, Austin Yates, Eric (fiancé Hollyn Campbell) Watts, Amanda (Michael) Richter, great grandmother to Kai Martin Yates and Audrey Richter, dear daughter of the late Richard F. Caudle and the late Irene R. Caudle, dear sister, aunt, cousin, and friend.
Shirley graduated from Ritenour High School in 1956. After graduation, she attended business school. She went on to work for Wabash Railroad as a Comptometer Operator. Shirley worked for several years and then left the railroad to focus on raising a family. She was a dedicated mother, wife, and fantastic homemaker.
She liked milk with a little coffee, she made amazing gravy and the best dressing at Thanksgiving. She enjoyed hosting family and grand-dogs at their lake home. Her greatest joy was her children and spending time with her family.
Shirley and her husband Leland were married for over 61 years. They loved to dance and were often seen at the Potosi Senior Center and other dances around town. Both Ballroom and Country Line Dancing were their favorites.
Visitation at Collier's Funeral Home, 3400 North Lindbergh Blvd., St. Ann, Missouri. Saturday, January 30 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Funeral Service immediately following visitation.
A private (family only) graveside service will follow.
