Siegfried Josef Cedra -

Siegfried J. Cedra, Zig, died unexpectedly November 5, 2021.  He was born September 18, 1957 in St. Louis, MO to Walter and Lee Cedra.

Zig graduated high school from Hazelwood West High School, class of 1976.  Following high school he worked in the heating and cooling business for several local companies up until the time of his death. Zig was a brother in the Sheet Metal Workers Local 36 Union. Zig married Lynn Jones December 1, 1985 and they settled in Hazelwood, Missouri.  They were blessed with one child, Jeffrey, in 1986.  Zig enjoyed nature and would take any opportunity to go hunting, fishing or walking outside.

Zig was preceded in death by his mother, maternal grandmother, both paternal grandparents and a brother-in-law.  Surviving, in addition to his wife Lynn (Jones) Cedra, are his son, Jeff and his wife, Chrissi (Stoughton) of St. Charles, MO; one grandchild, Avery Cedra; his father, Walter A. Cedra; brother Peter and his wife, Scarlett, of Garden City, KS; sisters Eva Cedra of Cottage Hills, IL and Diana Dietrich and her husband, John, of Elsberry, MO; many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews and many dear friends .

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Thursday and a funeral service at 10:00 am Friday at Collier's Funeral Home, 3400 North Lindbergh Blvd. in St. Ann, MO.  In Lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Zig in a special way may send a donation to The Missouri Department of Conservation, Donations, P.O.
