Stacy L.
Kunce

In Loving Memory of Stacy Lynn Kunce (Ell)
June 17, 1958 – March 24, 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce that Stacy Lynn Kunce, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed peacefully into the arms of her Savior on March 24th at Mercy Hospital at the age of 66. Though her body endured years of illness and suffering, her faith, tenderness, and love for her family never wavered.
Born on June 17, 1958, Stacy was the daughter of Wilfred and Marian Ell. She devoted her life to caring for her home and family, pouring herself into her roles with kindness and grace. Over the years, she served as a candy striper, med tech, secretary, accountant, homemaker, and newspaper route owner – each role marked by her quiet strength and dedication.
Stacy's greatest joy was found in her family. She was the loving wife of Kenneth "Mike" Kunce and the proud mother of Brandon Kunce, Amber Kunce, Ryan Kunce (Julie), Miranda Kunce, and Marissa Conard (Kevin). Her grandchildren were her delight: Bridgette Kunce, Atticus Kunce, Lydia Kunce, Adelaide Conard, and Theodore Conard.
She is also survived by her siblings Stephanie, Lisa, and Gregg, and was preceded in death by their beloved sister Vanessa.
An attender of Rockport Baptist Church until chronic pain made it too difficult, Stacy continued to nurture her faith from home by watching sermons from Rockport Baptist Church, First Baptist Church of Bethany (where her son is pastor) and Waypoint Church. She also faithfully listened to Christian praise music on Joy FM and found encouragement in sermons on Bott Radio Network.
Stacy's love for the Lord overflowed in song. When she was young, she wrote praise songs to the Lord and often sang them to her children while playing her 12-string Ovation guitar. She delighted in Christian books, appreciated a good television drama, loved to travel, enjoyed crafting, was fond of her pets, and found joy in long conversations with friends and family. She kept many prayer journals over the years, often near her bedside – a quiet reflection of her personal walk with Christ.
Stacy's journey was marked by immense physical hardship. She lived with scoliosis, degenerative joint disease, multiple myeloma (8 years), and kidney failure - yet through every trial, she remained gracious, caring, kind, and prayerful. Her body endured more than most, but her spirit stayed unshaken.
Her life was a living testimony to the truth of her favorite Bible verse Philippians 4:13: "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
