Tad Barnett of Saint Peters, MO, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at the age of 60. He will be remembered as a kindhearted, supportive, and loving husband, father, family member, co-worker, friend, and neighbor.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William James Barnett and Ruth Ann (Gillardi) Barnett, and his sister, Barbara Ann Barnett. He is survived by his loving wife, Christine (Hallowell) Barnett and son, James Barnett. Dearest brother of Bruce (Teresa) Barnett, Gregory Barnett, and Gail (Bob) Baker. Dearest son-in-law of Jackie (the late Ray Hudak) Moore and Richard (Sandy) Hallowell. Dearest brother-in-law of Mark (Beth) Hallowell. He is also survived by a large, loving group of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Tad met his wife, Christine, in 1992, and they married in 2010. Together, they shared 34 loving years and raised their son, James. Over the years they enjoyed trips to Las Vegas and Branson, while smiling and joking through day-to-day life together as well.

Tad dedicated more than 20 years to Missouri American Water as a fleet mechanic and member of the Utility Workers Union of America Local 335, always ready to help with a smile.

Tad had a lifelong love of vehicles. He enjoyed off-roading in his dune buggy, plowing neighbors’ driveways with his four-wheeler, offering the occasional tow with his diesel truck, running quick errands on his Spyder, and relaxing at home with nearly any TV show about vehicles.

He will be deeply missed but remembered with a multitude of fond memories.

Visitation Thursday, September 3, 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Collier’s Funeral Home, 3400 N. Lindbergh Blvd., St. Ann, MO 63074. Funeral Service Friday, September 4, 10:00 AM at Collier's Funeral Home.
