On Wednesday, June 16, 2021, Thomas John McCoy, loving husband and father of two, passed away at the age of 65.

Tom was born on October 11, 1955 in Hannibal, MO to Cleo and John McCoy. He moved to Tucson, AZ as a teenager and back to Missouri in 1975. He married Kathleen Farrar on May 25, 1985. They raised a daughter, Kimberly, and a son, Adam.

Tom loved working with his hands. He created beautifully crafted brick and wooden structures in each place he lived, from elaborate brick walls to a multilayered deck. He enjoyed collecting sports memorabilia and watching hockey, football and baseball games with family and friends. Tom was an avid runner and completed four marathons: one in St. Louis, one in Oregon, one in Chicago and one in Ireland. His passion for music was instilled in both of his children at a young age, from Jimmy Buffet concerts to late-night dance parties in the family room. Tom was known for his love of partying, sense of humor, family pride and fierce loyalty. He will be missed by many.

Tom is preceded in death by his mother, Cleo, by his sister, Terry, and his father, John. He is survived by his wife, Kathy, his children, Kimberly and Adam, and many sisters, brothers, cousins, nieces and nephews.

A small memorial visitation will be held for family and close friends on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Collier's Funeral Home from 3-5 p.m. A funeral service will begin at 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Tom's name to the Lewy Body Dementia Association .
