Timothy Patrick Holton

January 12th, 1949 - June 14th, 2025

Tim Fortified with the sacraments of the Holy Mother Church Saturday, June 14th, 2025 with family by his side.

Born to Dr. Edward B. Holton and Lucille Smith Holton on January 12th, 1949 at St. Mary's Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

He is survived by his loving wife Julia (Julie) Brider Holton, siblings Kathleen (KAWA) Kaplan (Richard), and Brian Holton (Sue Ayella), Ellen Holton (Stacy Atchison) and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Dr. Donald Mielcarek and Vicki Brider Mielcarek. Loving nieces Julia Holton and Elizabeth Holton and nephews Timothy Holton (Jennie) and Ryan Mielcarek. Great uncle to Sean Holton. Cousin and friend to many.

Tim is preceded in death by his father Dr. Edward Holton, his mother Lucille Smith Holton, brother Sean Holton and nephew Paul V. Mielcarek.

Tim grew up in Kansas City, MO and attended St. Mary's and Nativity Blessed Virgin Mary grade schools in Independence, MO and Maur Hill Preparatory School in Atchison, Kansas.

Tim was proud to be an Eagle Scout, Troop 178, Independence, MO. He enjoyed spending summers on the Holton Farm.

Tim served in the United States Air Force (1968 - 1972) as an Air Traffic Controller, stationed in Adana, Turkey for 18 months.

Tim graduated from the University of Missouri, Columbia in 1975 with a Bachelor's of Arts Degree in History and Journalism. He met his beloved future wife Julie while attending Mizzou and married in 1976.

Tim was employed by Ozark Airlines, TWA, and American Airlines from 1976 - 2010 in customer service and management. He was also employed by MERS, assisting the underprivileged as a job coach. Tim was employed as a Chauffer with Best Transportation from 2010 - 2019 where he met the second love of his life - his four legged best friend Newman. He recently worked as a part time employee for St. Ann Parks and Recreation as a Park Ranger.

Tim loved volunteering for Operation Food Search, Ritenour Co-Care Food Pantry, and Meals on Wheels. Feeding others and comforting the lonely was important to Tim.

Tim's hobbies were playing classical piano, writing poetry, and reading non-fiction National and World Affairs. He loved to write personal tributes for his friends and families special days. Tim loved playing softball, hockey, and riding his bike.

He was a devoted fan of Notre Dame, Mizzou, Kansas City Chiefs, and Pittsburg Steelers. Tim was also a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, Kansas City Royals, and St. Louis Blues. He loved spoiling his four legged friend, Newman. Music was very important to Tim. He loved 70s music, gifted guitarists and musicians. He and Julie enjoyed attending concerts and listening to music for hours.

Tim touched so many lives and will be deeply missed.

Funeral Mass Monday, July 7th 11:00 AM with a luncheon immediately following at Holy Spirit Church, 3130 Parkwood Ln (Maryland Heights). Interment Tuesday, July 8th procession from COLLIER'S Funeral Home, 3400 N. Lindbergh Blvd. (St. Ann) 8:30 AM to Jefferson Barracks Cemetery where Military Honors will take place at 9:30 AM.
