Violet Drucilla (Forhan) Williams 96, passed away May 29th, 2022 in St. Louis county, Missouri.
Dru, as she liked to be called, was born June 2, 1925 in St. Johns Station, Mo . to Edward Joseph and Alma Amalie (Luedloff) Forhan. She was one of eight children and all have preceeded her in death. Dru and her late husband Raymond Elmer Williams met on a blind date and were married six months later. He was the love of her life. Dru is survived by her children Bill Williams (Dinara), Nancy Lee and Peggy Williams, five grandchildren; Silas Wildung, Casey Hendren (Krissy) Jesse Langdon, Melissa Logan and Scottie Varney and three great grandchildren. She graduated from Eueka High school and received a diploma from Western Union School. She was employed for 10 years at Missouri Baptist Hospital. She was an active and longtime member of Zion Lutheran church having taught Sunday school, served as church secretary and sang in the choir. She was an avid reader, loved to travel and did extensive research into her family's genealogy. She made many friends at the senior center playing Canasta, and Autumn View Gardens where she lived during the last years of her life. She showed strength in the face of adversity, was good hearted and loved life. She leaves a void in the lives of all who knew and loved her.
Memorial service Saturday, July 16, 2:00 PM at Zion Lutheran Church, 12075 Dorsett Rd (Maryland Heights).
