William Fred Massa, "Bill", passed away Thursday December 3rd at the age of 78. Born June 1, 1942 to the late Fred Massa and the late Virginia Massa in St. Louis, Missouri. Beloved brother to Jack Massa and brother-in-law to Linda Massa. Loving Uncle to Kim Rubenstein (Jeremy), Tammi Ruzicka (Chris) and Tony Massa. Great-Uncle to Nicholas and Vivienne Rubenstein, Madden, Maizy, and Mackensie Ruzicka and Elijah Massa.

A true original, Bill was the co-owner and co-founder of Massa's Italian Restaurants who left an indelible touch on all those who crossed his path. Bill was unmistakably one-of-a-kind and his vibrant personality could only be matched by his wardrobe and decorating style. He was born gifted with an extraordinary talent to listen, love and share stories. Bill was never too busy to do what came most natural to him; conversing, laughing and loving all those around him. A true St. Louis legend who will be missed far beyond any expression words can possibly provide. The smiles and laughter will always outweigh the tears when remembering Uncle Bill. A very special and heartfelt thank you goes out to Jeff Kern and Rob Dawes who went well above and beyond anything friendship can define.

While no formal funeral services will occur at this time due to COVID, a celebration of life will be held on a later date in 2021. Details to come. If you wish to send flowers, Bill would want you to send them (usually red roses) to either yourself or someone you love.
