On Wednesday June 30, 2021, William Lloyd Matthews (74) from Corinth, Texas was born on July 14, 1946 in St. Louis, Missouri passed away peacefully at his home in Corinth, Texas.

William was a devoted husband to the late Carole Matthews (56) for 33 years. William was a father role model to Timothy Lloyd Matthews, Bradley (Vannet) Matthews. He was a loving grandfather to Selena and Maverick Matthews. Dearest youngest brother of Betty, Herbert, Vera, John, Shirley, Mary, Marilyn and James. Dearest friend and colleague to so many people from school, work, and social gatherings.

William grew up in St. Louis where he started his career in the airlines with TWA and then changing careers to Qantas Airways where he moved his family to places such as Honolulu, HI, Toronto, ON, San Francisco, CA and Dallas, TX. He traveled around the world and had a special connection with friends/family in Australia. He spent his entire career devoted to the Airline Industry working as Regional Marketing Sales Manager for Qantas Airways and TWA airlines. He was true to the St. Louis Cardinals and St. Louis Blues for sport preference and traveling specifications.

He loved to laugh, and he lived to love.

Funeral Mass and Burial: Collier's Funeral Home followed by burial at Mt. Lebanon 11101 St. Charles Rock Rd.
