Born on April 24th, 1942, in Vandalia, Illinois, Bill was the beloved son of Willis and Virginia Clark. He is survived by his two sons, Todd Clark of Denver, Colorado, and Reid Clark of St. Louis, MO; two grandchildren, Keely Clark and Thomas Clark; daughter-in-law, Nancy Clark; and his sister, Sharon Anderson. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Willis and Virginia Clark, and his wife, Carol (Reedy) Clark.

Funeral services to honor Bill's memory will take place on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at St. John Bosco Church, 12934 Marine Ave, Maryland Heights, MO 63043. A burial service is scheduled in Vandalia, Illinois, at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 17, 2023.

Bill's formative years were spent in Vandalia, Illinois, where he graduated from the University of Illinois with a B.S. in Mathematics. He served as an officer (Captain) in the United States Marine Corps from September 1964 to November 1967, including a tour of duty in the Vietnam war from September 1966 to October 1967.

In the late 1960s and 1970s, Bill worked as a software engineer, serving as a computer programmer for Aeronutronic, a division of Ford Aerospace, Hughes Aircraft, and McDonnell Aircraft. It was during this period that he met and married Carol Clark on April 26, 1969. Bill relocated from sunny California to St. Louis, MO, to start a family and a new job at McDonnell Douglas, where he dedicated most of his career overseeing the F-15 program. He retired from Boeing after over 40 years of service.

Bill was a remarkably generous father, placing the needs of his family and friends above his own. He embraced a minimalistic lifestyle to ensure he could provide for his loved ones. His selflessness and devotion will be deeply missed.
